But then, you realize that it's not really actually that amusing. It's just plain bad. And the laughter you were experiencing morphs into a sigh.

Ultimately, you are left with a sense of confusion. You start ruminating about the meaning of it all. Was this intended to be funny?

Or were we just living in a check here simulation gone wrong?

Dreadful Day Ever

It all started with an case of uncontrollable hair. I couldn't figure it to look right. As I was getting ready out the door, I trippedover and badly all over my new shoes. To make matters worse, I was completely late for work.

A series/chain/cascade of unfortunate/awful/disastrous events unfolded/occurred/piled on top each other, leaving me feeling like I was in a nightmare/horror movie/comedy of errors. It's the kind of situation where you just want to throw your hands up.
